This workshop is designed to review state of the art information on different
minimally invasive basic techniques, suturing and laparoscopy equipments. The
symposium provides an ideal mix of the traditional standard of operation principles
with cutting edge, forward-moving practices. The workshop runs theory sessions
during the first day and hands-on sessions in the second day in order to provide
continuity in training (pelvi-trainers connected to laparoscopy towers as well as
simulators). The course provides in-depth and cutting-edge information in the field of
ergonomics in minimally invasive surgery, instruments and different high-energy
devices. The material presented will be exciting as well as readily assimilated and
applied.
The course aim is to provide surgeons, urologists and gynecologists (in training or
already board certified) with the information and skills needed for CORRECT
handling of laparoscopy instruments and good suturing level.
The following goals will be pursued:
1. ergonomics in laparoscopic surgery
2. instrument categories how to select depending on the surgery
3. Develop skills to different suturing techniques
4. basic information about ICG and different laparoscopic approaches and
techniques
The course will be kindly supported by:
