 ssful handling of\nnontraumatic visceral and GI emergencies from arrival i
 n the emergency room\nthrough transfer for definitive treatment to the ope
 rating room\, intensive care unit or\nward\, with detailed attention to th
 e decision-making process as well as to relevant\n\nsurgical skills and te
 chniques.\nStructure\nTheoretical sessions - state of the art information 
 on the diagnosis and management\nof non-trauma GI &amp\;amp\; visceral eme
 rgencies. The symposium provides an ideal mix of\nthe traditional standard
  of care principles with cutting edge\, forward-moving\npractices.\n\nHand
 s-on sessions during the entire second day focused on laparoscopic approac
 h.\nDevelop skills to suture perforated ulcer\, bowel resections\, splenec
 tomy\, manage\ncomplicated situations\, laparoscopic hemostasis technics\,
  working with ICG and 3D\nas well as to try and compare on the spot differ
 ent high-end laparoscopic devices\n\nThe following goals will be pursued:\
